We are looking to hire an experienced Azure Infrastructure Specialist / Senior DevOps Engineer on a fully remote outside-IR35 contract. You will play a key role in building infrastructure and implementations in new cloud environments, delivering secure, automated cloud environments that support business-critical applications. This is a hands-on, delivery-oriented role requiring deep expertise in Azure, Infrastructure automation, Builds and Implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate high-level architecture into working Azure Infrastructure environments
- Build environments based on HLDs, aligning with architectural standards and patterns
- Use Terraform and Ansible to implement infrastructure-as-code and automate application/service deployments
- Support promotion of releases across environments through to production
- Administer and maintain Snowflake and SQL Server from an infrastructure/operations perspective
- Ensure environments are built securely and aligned with DevOps and cloud best practices
- Collaborate with Architects, Security, and other engineering teams to ensure consistent and compliant infrastructure delivery
- Contribute to the installation and automation of applications/services
- Apply working knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory to support hybrid environments
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure (essential)
- Proven track record using Terraform and Ansible for IAC and automation
- Infrastructure administration of SQL Server, Snowflake (nice to have)
- Experience building and managing environments based on architectural designs
- Familiarity with secure, enterprise-grade environments (no direct production access, role separation, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, particularly Windows Server and Active Directory
- Previous experience working with a variety of technology stacks for compute, storage, virtualization, and network products ideally consisting of VMware, Cisco UCS, HP Nimble, Pure, and others
- Ability to deliver under pressure with minimal oversight in a fully remote setup
