A global private credit fund is looking to appoint a CLO Operations Manager into a newly created position ahead of launching its new strategy early next year.
The position will be based in London and is a first hire into the CLO Operations team. Over the course of the next 12-18 months, the individual will be responsible for end to end setup of a robust operations function ahead of the product launch. Longer term, this individual will be responsible for building out the team and the function with tonnes of progression on offer.
Key areas will cover:
- Support the business through the transition from warehouse ramp-up to CLO securitisation;
- Coordinate and oversee warehouse facilities and CLO deal closings, collaborating closely with portfolio managers, underwriters, and placement agents up to the closing date;
- Manage day-to-day operations, reconciliation, and compliance throughout the CLO lifecycle, from the warehouse phase to securitisation, ensuring accurate reporting, streamlined processes, and high-quality service;
- Assist the CLO portfolio manager with hypothetical trading analyses to evaluate asset fit within CLOs based on factors such as size and concentration limits, and work with the CLO PM to adjust allocations as needed;
- Collaborate with internal teams (portfolio management, operations, legal, compliance/risk, tax, etc.), third-party providers, and trustees;
- Implement controls and improve processes to mitigate risks, boost operational efficiency, and ensure adherence to CLO documentation and guidelines;
- Negotiate vendor contracts and oversee outsourced service providers, acting as the primary liaison for these relationships within the CLO business;
- Lead operations projects for both internal and external software implementations related to the CLO business;
- Respond to time-sensitive requests from both internal and external parties;
- Support the launch of future CLOs.
Requirements include:
- Strong academic background
- Proven experience in a CLO operations role (5+ years) with end to end exposure.
- Prior use of CLO operations systems such as WSO Compliance, Sentry, Solvas, Allvue
