A leading specialty insurance business is seeking an experienced Delegated Authority professional to join its established delegated underwriting function.
Working closely with underwriting teams, senior stakeholders and external market participants, you will help ensure that coverholders, binding authorities and other facilities are managed effectively and in accordance with regulatory expectations, internal governance and commercial objectives.
Alongside business-as-usual delegated authority activity, the position offers meaningful involvement in projects, process improvement and wider transformation initiatives.
Provide advice and oversight in relation to facilities such as lineslips, consortium arrangements and master policies.
Partner closely with underwriting teams on delegated authority requirements, risks and operational matters.
Monitor the quality and consistency of work delivered across internal and outsourced teams.
Support the implementation of regulatory developments, new systems and business-wide change initiatives.
Promote consistency, collaboration and best practice across the wider business.
Good understanding of Lloyd’s, FCA and broader regulatory requirements relating to delegated underwriting.
The confidence and judgement to approve arrangements, manage risk and escalate issues appropriately.
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify trends, anomalies and areas of concern within data.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with limited supervision.
