We're recruiting for a Senior Property & Casualty Underwriter to join a leading UK insurer's Manchester team on a hybrid basis. This is a high-impact role where you'll have exposure to some of the largest cases within the Manchester region while working closely with brokers to win appropriate business and drive profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make independent underwriting decisions on new and renewal P&C risks across your authority, negotiating terms that balance commercial opportunity with profitability while maintaining underwriting discipline.
  • Develop and strengthen broker partnerships through consistent communication and strategic engagement, positioning yourself as a trusted underwriting advisor to key accounts.
  • Utilise pricing methodologies and risk evaluation frameworks to identify growth opportunities while protecting portfolio performance, loss ratios, and profitability targets.
  • Work cross-functionally with team members to enhance underwriting standards, identify operational efficiencies, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
