Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrite new business, renewals, and MTAs using robust technical judgement, leading trading conversations and negotiating complex deals while shaping and influencing broker relationships at a senior level.
  • Use data and insight to make high-quality, commercially-balanced decisions with genuine autonomy, taking ownership of portfolio performance and risk selection across your regional patch.
  • Support and coach less experienced underwriters across the team, sharing knowledge and helping develop the next generation of commercial underwriting talent.
  • Collaborate closely with regional leaders to drive trading and growth strategies, bringing visibility, influence, and the authority to make decisions that matter to the business.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in commercial underwriting or broking (mid-market or above) with strong technical underwriting skills and ability to assess and price complex risks.
