Our client is seeking an exceptional Associate Pricing Director to join a leading team within a well-established Life Insurance division. The team is focused on designing and delivering bulk purchase annuities (BPAs) and alternative de-risking products for Defined Benefit pension schemes. Due to ongoing success and strong growth opportunities, they are looking to expand the team with a skilled professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end pricing for BPAs and other de-risking solutions.
  • Collaborate with various teams across the business and outsourcing partners to integrate commercial, investment, longevity, reinsurance, balance sheet management, and structuring workstreams into pricing projects.
  • Support senior stakeholders with technical analysis, business strategy, and ad hoc queries.
  • Play a key role in developing new and enhanced pricing models and technology solutions within the CRS pricing infrastructure.
  • Manage commercial outsourcing arrangements and support the development of novel pricing strategies, including reinsurance solutions and new product lines.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • A commercially-minded Actuary with strong technical skills.
  • Experience in bulk annuity pricing, funded reinsurance, longevity reinsurance, or life insurance balance sheet management.
  • Knowledge of UK DB pensions is valuable.
  • Understanding of Solvency II and UK life insurance regulations, particularly around balance sheet construction, liability discounting, asset strategy, and ALM.
  • Experience developing, structuring, and pricing institutional insurance products is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with non-standard capital and reinsurance structures is a plus.
  • Ambitious, self-motivated, and able to prioritise workloads effectively to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
