An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pricing Actuary to join a leading specialist insurer operating within the London Market.
This role offers the chance to provide expert pricing insight, analytical challenge, and strategic support to help drive profitable growth for Marine.
As the lead pricing actuary for your area of responsibility, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality case pricing, portfolio reviews, and analytical support while maintaining ownership of the pricing models used by the business.
Working closely with underwriting teams and senior stakeholders, you will provide independent actuarial judgement, develop meaningful management information, contribute to business planning activities, and help ensure robust pricing governance and model oversight across the portfolio.
You will also play an important role in mentoring actuarial analysts and influencing key pricing and underwriting decisions.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified actuary, or possess equivalent experience, with a strong background in general insurance pricing within the London Market or specialty insurance sector.
You will have a proven ability to combine technical excellence with commercial awareness, build trusted relationships with stakeholders, communicate complex actuarial concepts clearly, and provide leadership to more junior team members.
Experience with delegated authority business, portfolio management, pricing analytics, and tools such as Python or R would be advantageous.
