We're working with a leading London Market insurer on a pricing hire within their Financial Lines & Cyber team.
This is a genuinely commercial pricing role, working directly with underwriters and taking ownership of the case-pricing process across individual risks and binders, with particular exposure to Professional Indemnity.
You'll also get involved in portfolio management, pricing tool development, planning and wider strategic projects, so it's a much broader remit than simply turning around individual pricing requests.
A big part of the opportunity is the level of responsibility. You'll become a key actuarial partner to the underwriting team, helping review more complex risks, improve pricing tools and provide insight into portfolio performance.
They're looking for someone who is progressing well through the actuarial exams / approaching qualification, ideally with some existing case-pricing and portfolio-management experience. Newly Qualified actuaries would also be welcome
Strong analytical skills are important, alongside confidence working with non-actuarial stakeholders. R is strongly desired, with Python, Radar, and other pricing/data tools useful but not essential.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to move into a role with more underwriting interaction, greater ownership and exposure to some of the more interesting areas of London Market pricing.
