My client is a global consultancy building out its quality engineering team in financial services. They want a director to own the testing agenda for major UK banks: setting the direction, deciding how quality gets built into change from day one, and giving senior people honest advice on where to invest.
Winning work matters just as much as delivering it. You’ll shape new offerings, write proposals and stand in front of prospective clients. If you’ve never been near an RFP, this one isn’t for you.
What you’ll need:
- A consulting background, and a good feel for how advisory firms make money
- Real RFP experience, on either side of the table
- Time spent in UK banking change, across any part of the sector
- End-to-end testing knowledge, from functional and UAT through to performance and automation
- Confidence with modern test tooling
- Experience running distributed teams across locations
- The ability to talk to a CIO and a test engineer in the same afternoon, and be understood by both
