b Overview /b p In this role you will shape capital insights to support underwriting strategy and business planning within a respected specialty insurer. You will work with senior stakeholders across Actuarial, Risk and Finance to deliver robust capital analyses, governance, and reporting. You’ll influence regulatory compliance (Solvency II UK, ORSA) and lead initiatives for capital optimisation and growth. This is a commercially focused role that combines modelling excellence with strategic impact. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Maintain and enhance the internal capital model with strong governance /li li Deliver capital analyses to support underwriting strategy, planning and portfolio management /li li Produce and communicate capital model results to senior stakeholders /li li Support regulatory reporting including Solvency II UK and ORSA /li li Contribute to model validation, documentation and parameter reviews /li li Assess capital impact of underwriting and reinsurance decisions /li li Support strategic projects on capital optimisation and business growth /li li Develop and enhance modelling processes, tools and reporting capabilities /li li Collaborate with Actuarial, Risk, Finance and Underwriting to provide capital insight and challenge /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li FIA qualified (or equivalent) /li li Capital modelling experience in the Lloyds or London Market /li li Strong understanding of Solvency UK and regulatory capital requirements /li li Experience working with Igloo /li li Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills /li li Strong communication skills with ability to engage multiple stakeholders /li li Commercial mindset supporting wider business strategy /li li Programming experience (Python, R, SQL or VBA) would be advantageous but not essential /li /ul ul li analytical thinking /li li problem-solving /li li effective communication /li li Igloo /li li Solvency II UK /li li Python /li /ul
