An opportunity to join a large, well-established pensions actuarial team working across a broad range of DB schemes. The role offers strong exposure to both core actuarial work and wider project-based assignments, with plenty of client interaction.
The role:
- Support delivery of actuarial valuations (funding, solvency, Section 179, buy-in feasibility)
- Prepare and present analysis for client meetings
- Delegate work to analysts and review outputs before sign-off
- Carry out and check member calculations including transfer values
- Produce member option factors (e.g. early/late retirement, commutation)
- Support pensions accounting work (IAS19 / US GAAP)
- Contribute to projects such as GMP equalisation, data and benefit rectification
- Work closely with administration teams and wider stakeholders
What they’re looking for:
- Part-qualified actuary (FIA track)
- UK pensions consulting experience
- Solid technical grounding with good attention to detail
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload
- Comfortable delegating to and supporting junior team members
