Our expert team powers proactive monitoring, management, and incident response to safeguard clients' networks, apps, and infrastructure. As our managed Firewall and NOC services expand, we need a skilled NOC/Firewall Engineer with hands-on expertise in Check Point, Fortinet, or Palo Alto Networks to ensure secure, seamless network connectivity.
The Role
You will be the frontline technical expert in our 24/7 Network Operations Center, owning the daily monitoring, configuration, troubleshooting, and incident resolution of client Firewalls and network security infrastructure. This hands-on position demands sharp technical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage & Monitor: Operate client Firewalls, VPNs, and network devices using advanced monitoring platforms and vendor tools.
- Configure & Update: Implement Firewall rule changes, security policies, NAT, and routing on Check Point, Fortinet, or Palo Alto gear.
- Troubleshoot & Resolve: Investigate connectivity, performance, and security incidents swiftly, meeting SLA requirements.
- Maintain & Optimize: Conduct regular health checks and maintenance of Firewall appliances and infrastructure.
- Collaborate: Work closely with SOC, professional services, and engineering teams to tackle complex incidents.
- Document & Communicate: Keep detailed records of changes and resolutions, providing clear status updates to clients.
- Onboard: Assist in integrating new clients and devices into our managed services platform.
What We're Looking For
Must Have:
- 2-4+ years in network operations or Firewall support.
- Proven hands-on experience with Check Point (R80.x, SmartConsole, Gaia), Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager), or Palo Alto Networks (PAN-OS, Panorama).
- Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing, NAT, VPN, DNS, VLANs.
- Expertise with Firewall rule sets, traffic troubleshooting, and log analysis.
- Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira) and remote monitoring tools.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
Nice to Have:
- Relevant certifications (CCSA/CCSE, NSE4/NSE5, PCNSE).
- Experience with high-availability Firewall setups and failover.
- Scripting or automation skills (Python, Bash).
- Knowledge of ITIL and service management practices.
- Familiarity with cloud networking/security (AWS, Azure).
