About the Role
West London College is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Student Recruitment and Admissions Lead to join our Marketing and Student Recruitment team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the learner journey from first enquiry through to enrolment, ensuring a seamless, efficient, and welcoming experience for all prospective students. You will work collaboratively across college departments, supporting recruitment activity, managing admissions processes, and delivering high-quality information, advice, and guidance. Your role will be essential in helping the college meet its enrolment targets and providing exceptional service to students.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Support & Guidance: Provide comprehensive and impartial information, advice, and guidance (IAG) to prospective learners and stakeholders. Assess and advise on course enquiries, interviews, enrolment, and progression. Serve as a first point-of-contact for prospective students, resolving queries promptly and professionally.
- Admissions & Enrolment Management: Arrange appointments for interviews, assessments, and enrolments in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and KPIs. Process applications and enrolments accurately, efficiently, and with a focus on a positive applicant experience. Manage learner records, data entry, and reporting to track conversion from application to enrolment and progression. Carry out fee assessments, enrolment, and cashiering tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with college processes.
- Operational & Administrative Duties: Update and maintain electronic processes, templates, letters, and forms to ensure smooth operations. Maintain accurate records and filing systems for easy access to learner information. Support internal and external Student Recruitment and Admissions events, providing information and guidance. Provide cover for colleagues and assist across college sites as required. Work occasional evenings and weekends to meet business needs. Ensure GDPR compliance and adherence to safeguarding policies when processing personal data.
- Continuous Improvement & Collaboration: Support the evaluation and development of department processes to improve service delivery. Work closely with reception, marketing, and curriculum teams to support the conversion of enquiries into enrolments. Proactively resolve issues, manage complaints, and report risks.
