As part of the Seahorse Swim School team, you will deliver a successful ‘Learn to Swim’ programme to our Seahorse Swim School clients. Swimming Instructors are the frontline in our customer service experience. They aim to provide a lasting impression to our clients and are required to present themselves accordingly. Swimming Instructors are to follow the ASA learn to swim programme.
About the school: Horsenden Primary School is a larger than average school with fantastic facilities, including a swimming pool, in the Greenford area of the London Borough of Ealing, serving a diverse community. We are a good school where inclusion is at the heart of what we do.
What we will offer: The Swim School is run as part of the Primary School and as such by an experienced Headteacher and Leadership team committed to professional development for all staff. Support and development through an effective appraisal system and regular feedback from monitoring. An enthusiastic team and well-behaved children who are eager to make good progress in their learning.
The role: Work collaboratively with the other Swimming Instructors to deliver a successful ‘Learn to Swim’ programme to Seahorse Swim School clients. Carry out administrative duties to support, monitor and assess progress and to support the smooth running of the swim school.
About you: The successful candidate will be someone who will be:
- Qualified to a minimum of ASA/UKCC Level 2 Certificate for Teaching Aquatics or ASA Level 2 Certificate for Coaching Swimming
- Ideally teacher water safety qualified
- A passionate and experienced Swimming Instructor who has a track record of working well with small groups and whole classes to produce good outcomes
- Flexible and able to work as part of a team to improve the outcomes for pupils
- Able to design and deliver a range of swimming lessons to pupils
- Able to keep records such as registers, assessments sheets etc in order and up to date
- Actively engaged in improving their own skills through seeking constructive feedback.
