About the school:

  • We are a leading music school for the London Borough of Ealing and our children sing every week and play a range of instruments; children learn a different musical instrument in each year of KS2.
  • We work closely with the Ealing music service and have a wide range of individual music lessons and choirs.
  • The successful candidate will join a happy, professional and dynamic school where music is taught through PPA time and as an extra-curricular activity.
  • We showcase music twice a year with our winter and summer concerts.
  • We are a friendly and supportive two-form entry school with a strong focus on excellent teaching and learning and a belief that all children can learn and achieve high standards.
  • We were recently congratulated by the Secretary of State for our excellent outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.
  • We believe in offering a wide variety of enrichment activities for our pupils.
  • Emotional health & well-being is promoted throughout the school, and we have a community of happy and positive learners.
  • Our newly built, state of the art building is well resourced, and we have beautiful and extensive grounds which are rare in an inner London school and these contribute to our positive and calm environment.
  • We run the OPAL creative play program at lunchtimes to ensure that every minute for our children at West Twyford is a learning opportunity.
  • You will be welcomed into a supportive and high achieving team with a clear and consistent focus on excellent educational practice and outcomes for children and where pupils behave well and have positive attitudes to learning.
  • We understand that a school is only as good as its teachers and you will be supported to grow and improve your practice.
  • We provide cutting edge CPD through our Walkthrus program and as a member of the Ealing Learning Partnership there are opportunities to work with schools across the borough.
  • Our school is located in an attractive residential area of Ealing with excellent transport links and are close to major roads (we offer onsite car parking), buses and the Central and Piccadilly Lines are both within walking distance.
  • Ealing Broadway is only 10 minutes away and central London is accessible in 30 minutes.
  • West Twyford Primary School offers the vibrancy and professional satisfaction of London teaching (with an inner London salary) in a beautiful calm green space and attractive environment.
