Overview

We are looking to appoint a Finance Assistant to the Trust\’s accounts department, with responsibility for providing financial support services to Ealing Fields High School.

The role would suit someone early in his/her financial career who is looking to gain wider experience in a school setting. This varied role includes performing all financial aspects of Ealing Fields School Private Funds – this includes school trips, the school shop and the cafe. The new post-holder will provide high quality support for student services and parent-funded activities and will include responsibility for the operation of purchase-to-pay, the sales ledger and credit control. The Trust would consider providing support with training towards an accounting qualification.

The role will mainly be based at Ealing Fields High School though there may be a requirement to work at any Trust school (currently all located within the London Borough of Ealing) from time to time.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial support services to Ealing Fields High School and the Trust\’s accounts department.
  • Manage all financial aspects of Ealing Fields School Private Funds, including school trips, the school shop and the cafe.
  • Support student services and parent-funded activities; operate purchase-to-pay, the sales ledger and credit control.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proactive, approachable, calm and professional with excellent communication skills and a high level of personal organisation.
  • Highly numerate; confident user of Excel; experience with financial systems preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to changing needs of the school.
  • Willingness to pursue training towards an accounting qualification with support from the Trust.
