To help us achieve this, we have created a new Innovation and Service Development team within Children’s Services, and are looking to recruit two Delivery Managers to drive change across our directorate.
Delivery Manager Responsibilities
- Mobilise and deliver change, with a focus on service improvement, efficiencies and demand management, service design and innovation.
- Manage key transformation projects, from planning to implementation, ensuring effective governance, quality assurance, and risk management.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the council – including senior officers and elected members – collaborating to find solutions to Children’s Service challenges.
- Apply your problem‑solving skills to tackle strategic priorities within a fast‑paced environment.
Ideal Delivery Manager Profile
- Experience of successfully managing change projects, ideally within local government or a similar sector.
- Sound knowledge of programme and project management methodology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A good understanding of the variety of local government services delivered to children and young people and the current issues and challenges regarding reform and transformation in this area.
