About the Position
We are seeking to appoint a full‑time, permanent Advisory Teacher for Vision Impairment to join our Sensory Support (SENS) Service in Ealing. A job share would be considered for the right candidates.
About the Service
Ealing is a diverse London Borough with a commitment to providing high‑quality support to families, schools and settings to enable them to include children and young people with a range of vision impairments. We are passionate about enabling children with vision impairment to achieve their best educational and wellbeing outcomes. The service is part of ESCAN (Ealing Services for Children with Additional Needs), which includes health therapy services such as Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Audiology and the Child Development Team, as well as Educational Psychology and the SEN Assessment Service. There is real opportunity for multi‑agency working. We have a good relationship with our schools and early years settings. It is possible to use public transport to carry out visits within the Borough. However, as the post will frequently involve working in more than one location daily, a full clean driving licence would be an advantage. Public transport and mileage costs are paid.
