About the Role

Due to the promotion of our current English Lead, an exciting opportunity has arisen at Clifton Primary School for a passionate and ambitious teacher to join our team as a Year 6 Teacher with responsibility for UKS2 Phase Leadership and English across the school.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR2b

Start date: 1st September 2026

The Role:

  • Lead and inspire Upper Key Stage 2 with clarity, positivity and high expectations.
  • Drive excellence in the teaching of English across the school.
  • Support and develop colleagues through coaching, modelling and collaborative practice.
  • Play a key role in preparing Year 6 pupils for successful transition to secondary school.
  • Foster resilience, independence and a love of learning in pupils.
  • Work alongside senior leaders to further develop teaching, learning and curriculum provision.
  • Contribute to whole-school improvement and help shape the future direction of leadership within the school.
