John Perryn Primary School is seeking to appoint an experienced, motivated and ambitious teacher with a strong track record of successfully leading a curriculum area to take on the role of Phase Leader on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Consistently deliver high-quality teaching that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Lead by example to support, challenge and motivate colleagues and pupils.
  • Have a strong understanding of effective curriculum design and sequencing to secure excellent outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of audiences (verbally, in writing and using ICT).
  • Successfully lead and develop a team to achieve agreed priorities.
  • Use assessment and data intelligently to evaluate pupil progress and plan targeted actions for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the wider leadership team, contributing to whole-school improvement.
  • Champion inclusion and ensure that disadvantaged pupils, those with SEND and those new to English achieve well.
