Peripatetic Instrumental Music Teachers – Ealing Music Service

Part-Time, Permanent

Salary: Unqualified Teacher (inner London): £28,343 - £40,994 pro rata

Location: Schools within London Borough of Ealing

Required from: 13 April 2026

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver inspiring and effective lessons
  • Motivate pupils of varying ages and abilities to make musical progress
  • Travel independently between schools within the borough
  • Support performances and borough-wide concerts, as required
  • Maintain appropriate records for the role (reports; registers etc)

Instruments and teaching availability

  • Singing – minimum of 2 hours per week
  • Percussion – minimum of 2 hours per week
  • Multi Brass – minimum of 2 hours per week
  • Multi Wind – minimum of 3 hours per week
  • Guitar and ukulele – minimum of 5 hours per week
  • Piano – minimum of 12 hours per week

We welcome applications from teachers able to teach the above instruments to individuals, small groups (2-4 children) and whole class.

Our contracts are annualised hours, variable in September each year. You must have the right to work in the UK and evidence will be required at interview.
