Swimming Pool and Swim School Manager

Horsenden Primary School and Children’s Centre in Greenford, Middlesex is seeking an enthusiastic, organised and customer‑focused manager to lead our on‑site swimming pool and Seahorse Swim School.

The role involves leading all aspects of pool operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer service.

Responsibilities include managing the swim school, overseeing staff, coordinating programmes and timetables, developing participation and income opportunities, and delivering a high quality experience for all users of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage swimming pool operations, maintaining safety, regulatory compliance and customer service standards.
  • Supervise and develop swimming staff and supervise teaching, maintenance and support staff.
  • Coordinate swim school programmes, timetables and staffing.
  • Develop participation and income opportunities, including community outreach and partnership programmes.
  • Ensure health and safety, safeguarding and anti‑bullying measures are implemented and monitored.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families, schools and community users.
  • Identify and propose improvements to services and address opportunities for development.
  • Work independently in a proactive and solution‑focused manner.

Qualifications

  • Swimming teacher qualification (essential).
  • Experience of swimming pool or aquatic facility operations.
  • Experience of leading, supervising or managing staff.
  • Strong organisational, communication and customer service skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety and safeguarding.
  • Desirable: Pool Plant Operator and First Aid qualifications.
