Overview
Β£38,256.00 - Β£39,276.00 p.a. inclusive. Contract type: Permanent. 1 part-time position: 14 hours per week (Thursdays and Fridays). 3 full-time positions: 35 hours per week. Windmill is a specialist nursery provision for children with learning differences and disabilities in Greenford. These posts are based in the specialist nursery at Windmill Children's Centre. The nursery is not affected by the current Ealing Children's Centres Consultation. Visits to the Centre are encouraged and will support your application. The post holder will be subject to Ealing Council's enhanced vetting process. You must have the right to work in the UK. Evidence for the right to work in the UK will be requested at the interview stage.
Responsibilities
- Join a friendly and professional staff team and contribute to high quality care and education for children under 5.
- Apply secure knowledge of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in daily practice.
- Work in smaller group sizes with higher adult-to-child ratios and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Engage with children who have a range of needs and support them to reach their potential.
- Participate in a fast-paced environment, thinking and responding to children's needs in real time.
- Attend to documentation and reporting, maintaining a healthy work-life balance with allocated time for administrative tasks.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum, full and relevant early years Level 3 qualification.
- Willingness to learn skills to work with children who have learning differences and disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
Working Terms and Benefits
- 35 hours per week (full-time) with set shifts from 8:30 to 4:00, five days per week, plus a dedicated staff room.
- Annual leave: 20 days per year, taken at fixed times when the centre is closed (typically 2 weeks in summer, 1 week at Easter, 1 week at Christmas).
- Full training package and professional development opportunities embedded in reflective practice.
- Experience of working with wider families and on-site professionals (occupational, physiotherapy, and speech and language therapists).
