Overview

Business Support Officer (Permanent, 35 hours, term‑time plus 2 weeks) – Ealing Council invites applications for a Business Support Officer to join the Ealing Education Centre (EEC) based in Greenford, UB6.

The role is full‑time permanent, working on a term‑time basis, plus an additional two weeks during school holiday periods. It is fully office‑based and offers an excellent work‑life balance within a friendly and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • A welcoming and professional front‑of‑house service to visitors, delegates and customers.
  • Manage enquiries by telephone, email and in person, ensuring excellent customer care.
  • Support the administration and delivery of training programmes, conferences, meetings and events.
  • Use online systems to manage training, venue bookings, enrolments, communications and event information.
  • Coordinate administrative support for allocated training programmes and projects.
  • Support financial processes including purchase orders, invoicing, payments and budget monitoring.
  • Assist with the marketing and promotion of training, events and services.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases and filing systems, ensuring information is up to date and easily accessible.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, schools, training providers and stakeholders to support the delivery of high‑quality services.

  • Experience of providing high‑quality administrative and customer support in a busy office or similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of customers and colleagues.
