Apprenticeship Opportunities at Ealing Council

We have four exciting apprenticeship roles for Ealing residents who are enthusiastic and highly motivated. As an apprentice you will get paid, be fully supported, and have the opportunity to progress to the next level or a new role.

Application Process

To start an apprenticeship you must pass four competitive stages followed by background and reference checks.

Stage one – Submit your CV and answer the following questions in your supporting statement:

• Why are you interested in an apprenticeship with Ealing Council and what do you hope to gain from the experience?
• What interests you about working for a local authority like Ealing Council and how could your role as an apprentice make a difference in the community?
• Tell us about a challenge you have faced and how you overcame it. What did the experience teach you?
• Describe a time when you had to manage multiple tasks or meet a tight deadline. How did you stay organised, and what was the outcome?

• Libraries Customer Service Apprentice – Level 2 Customer Service
• Corporate Maximising Quality, Reducing Inequalities Apprentice – Level 4 Quality Practitioner

Eligibility

• Resident of the London Borough of Ealing (proof required).
• Attended a school or college in the London Borough of Ealing within the past 3 years, or have valid GCSEs from an Ealing school.
• Age 16 or over (unless otherwise specified).
• British or European passport or indefinite leave to remain in the UK.
• Not currently undertaking or having completed a similar apprenticeship with Ealing Council.
• Full disclosure of any spent or unspent convictions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Key Dates

Closing date: Tuesday, 18 November 2025, 12 noon.

Mandatory group screening workshop: Monday, 24 November 2025, 9 am–2 pm (no alternative dates).

Interviews: week commencing 8 December 2025.

Apprenticeship start: Late January–early February 2026 (subject to pre‑employment check clearance).
