About the Opportunity
EAL is seeking an experienced regulatory professional to join its Regulatory Change Programme on a six-month fixed-term contract. This newly created role has been established to provide additional specialist capacity to support the delivery of planned regulatory assurance, governance and continuous improvement priorities.
Working closely with the Associate Director β Regulatory Change Programmes (Responsible Officer) and alongside the Regulatory Compliance & Incident Manager, you will contribute practical regulatory expertise, operational insight and delivery support across a range of regulatory assurance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support regulatory assurance and governance activity.
- Review evidence, controls and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide regulatory assurance and constructive challenge across operational activities.
- Support regulatory casework activities, including incidents, appeals and related reviews.
- Contribute to assurance reviews, audits and monitoring activities.
- Support action tracking, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
About You
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- Significant experience within an Awarding Organisation.
- Strong understanding of regulated qualifications and regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting regulatory assurance, governance and compliance activities.
- Experience supporting incidents, appeals, malpractice and regulatory casework.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The ability to operate independently within a complex and regulated environment.
Experience of internal audit and self-assessment activity would be beneficial but is not essential.
