ABOUT THE ROLE

The purpose of the role is to ensure good quality products are manufactured in line with the relevant work instruction to meet customer requirements within efficient and calculated timelines. You will work as an important part of the production team on the site you are based.

There are two shift patterns available, a continental shift pattern of rotating 12‑hour days and 12‑hour nights across weekdays and weekends, or a three‑shift weekly rotating pattern of mornings, afternoons and nights.

KEY ACTIVITIES

DUTIES

  • Report all issues that could impact the health and safety of you and/or your colleagues
  • Carry out TPM checks on a shift basis to ensure the machine is safe and adequately maintains to achieve its requirement to manufacture a good quality product
  • Responsible for changing to various model ranges on the automated line and set stations so that the product can be made to the required quality standard
  • Carry out quality checks at intervals specified in the Quality Management System
  • Completion of Production Records to enable them to be read easily and to retrieve information such as process quality results, shift reports containing quantity manufactured and any breakdowns. In addition, clear records to be recorded of materials used in the manufacturing process to enable full traceability should product need be recalled
  • Operating machines in accordance with operating procedures, carrying out basic maintenance when required ensuring the machine is maintained to the required standard

Manufacturing Processes

  • Carry out various operations within the department ensuring good quality products
  • Follow the relevant work instructions and quality control procedures specified on the QMS to manufacture products of the highest standard

Quality Checks

  • Report any variances to standard of product and seek advice if unsure
  • Ensure any documentation is completed correctly and can be read easily

Housekeeping

  • To ensure a good standard of housekeeping is maintained in the working area

Packing Products

  • Responsible for ensuring products manufactured are packed neatly into the containers provided not to damage them

Other

  • To adhere to the company’s Equal Opportunities policy and Dignity at work policy in all activities and to actively promote equality of opportunity wherever possible
  • To be responsible for your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety policy
