Life Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew, we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living! We are looking for a Senior Global Marketing Manager to join our team. The position develops, leads and implements the global marketing strategy for our entire Infection Management (IM) and skin care portfolio of products. It develops and manages key brands, channel and customer propositions and messaging. These marketing programmes will include brand campaigns, channel strategies, digital content plans as well as patient programmes. The role will develop digital marketing communications and education programs, maintaining marketing claims and supporting clinical marketing programs for the IM brands.
What will you be doing?
- Developing the market landscape: The role anticipates the needs of the market by understanding key dynamics including clinical trends, care delivery and payer landscapes. It maintains intelligence on the market dynamics including competitive landscape, market share, and environmental factors impacting the product. The position will support the regions/key markets in the implementation of global programs and assess expansion opportunities through public policy change.
- Brand Management: Management of digital marketing channels for health care professionals, patients and health care providers to increase brand visibility as well as supporting scientific comms team to ensure evidence programs are supported and delivered to plan. You'll play a key role in supporting education programs for conferences and webinars, coordinating speakers and internal S+N clinical staff activities. Additionally, this role manages IM product lifecycle planning and product launch activities and their subsequent tracking. As the voice of the customer, the global marketing manager builds insights and knowledge and communicates this internally. They create and drive successful customer orientated marketing plans. They have responsibility for assessing the brand and defining the brand and commercial needs (margin, competitor advantage, and positioning and value propositions).
- Global market support: Ensures global strategy is aligned with regional and local requirements, to ensure successful commercial execution of brand strategy and marketing initiatives.
Location: UK - with travel to Hull 1-2 times per month
Travel: Up to 25% (long and short haul).
Successful candidates would need the following:
- Extensive marketing experience, preferably in wound care, but medical device experience would also be considered.
- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Life Science, or Marketing is preferred.
- Experience working in a global marketing role - building strategies for brands that are then implemented locally.
- High energy and engaging, can establish relationships and influence across a regional and global organisation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen, understand and respond optimally to audiences at every level.
