An exciting opportunity for a heavyweight Senior PM to be the Business-facing PM (not Technical) on the following programme of work. Someone who has in depth experience from delivering big systems change programmes, but from a business perspective. Start date April/May and for 6-12 months. This business PM will work 2 in a box with a Technology PM to deliver this.
The Business PM ensures the impacted teams change how they operate (process, ways of working, behaviours) and that business objectives are realised, while the Technology PM ensures the tech and data elements work. Project is a multiyear Trading & Supply (T&S) Finance and ERP transformation programme. Its core purpose is to modernise the end to end Finance, Risk and ERP landscape for Trading, replacing ageing and fragmented systems with a clean core S/4HANA based architecture, supported by fit for purpose capabilities where required.
The programme responds to a structural problem: while T&S has grown significantly in scale and complexity, its legacy Trading ERP (P80/P81, TSAP/STN) and surrounding PDS ecosystem have not evolved at the same pace. This has resulted in:
- Highly customised and brittle ETRM-ERP integrations
- Inconsistent end to end processes across lines of business
- Manual workarounds and reconciliation effort
- Limited data governance and scalability risk
The Project provides the platform for Trading and Supply to transition to S/4HANA, aligned with the group’s direction to move all businesses to a single ERP by 2030, while addressing Trading specific requirements that are not fully covered by standard Group S/4 designs.
At its core, the programme aims to:
- Establish a clean core S/4HANA implementation for Trading
- Reduce technical debt and customisation in the ERP landscape
- Enable more frequent, accurate and actionable financial insight
- Improve data integrity, controls, and auditability
- Lower operational risk and cost to serve
- Create a scalable foundation that can support future Trading growth and innovation
