Description: Working on a large ETRM Implementation Programme to help design the Training strategy and oversee and coordinate the training‑related activities required to embed and sustain the right capabilities across the commodities within Trading & Supply.

The Training Lead role will report to the Business Change Management Lead on the Programme.

The role is both strategic and delivery‑focused and will be part of the Change & Engage team within the Programme.

It is a key role on the programme, with user capability & learning being a fundamental pillar to the success of the programme.

Responsibilities

  • Apply a structured methodology to further develop the overall Learning Approach and Plans for the programme, including all impacted audience groups across Trading & Supply.
  • Provide steer, direction and oversight of resources supporting the Training delivery aspects of the programme, such as Business Analysts, Change Managers, Process Experts etc.
  • Work closely with the Business Change Managers, Business Product / Process Owners, Business Analysts, SMEs, and other key stakeholders to understand the business change impact assessments and ensure they are translated into learning needs / requirements, ensuring that all changes to ways of working and new knowledge / capabilities are incorporated in the learning packages.
  • Carry out a comprehensive training needs analysis to identify the specific training required for each audience group to support user adoption in line with target operating model.
  • Oversee the development of all learning related material and packages.

This could include e Learning, classroom/virtual training, on‑the‑job training, demonstrations and scenarios, ways of working workshops, quick reference guides and other modes of training delivery.

Identify effort and resources required to produce the material and submit necessary costings etc., working within budget.

  • Work with third‑party providers to update current e Learning modules for the next implementations.

Work with SMEs, Product / Process Owners, Business Analysts, SMEs and other key stakeholders to tailor the content based on requirements and needs, ensuring high quality learning packages.

  • Develop, oversee and manage the training delivery schedule, including coordinating training invites, coordinate trainer allocation and availability, and manage the master schedule and associated aspects.
  • Work with IT teams and other necessary stakeholders to ensure training and demo environments (systems) are set up and available for training delivery where required.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by ensuring those participating in UAT have the right skills and knowledge to be able to complete the necessary test scenarios.
  • Provide quality control of all learning packages, ensuring consistency and high standards are met.
  • Develop an approach for assessing and monitoring the effectiveness of all training delivery across all user groups.

Apply a continuous learner mindset and implement training improvements where required.

  • Work with L&D, HR and other teams to ensure Ada training approach and curricula is aligned to Shell best practice and achieves collective objectives.
  • Ensure the training approach is ultimately embedded into business‑as‑usual processes, including working with the Endur Capability Centre (CC) and other teams to help sustain the change into the future.
