Exciting opportunity for an Endur Business Analyst to join this global Energy company for a 6‑12 month initial long‑term contract. 3 days a week in the London office. This is an exciting time to join this world‑leading Energy company as it evolves from a traditional oil & gas enterprise into a future‑focused Energy leader. The transformation includes the establishment of a highly successful new Power Trading desk within the Energy Trading team and ventures into cutting‑edge solutions that address the evolving demands of the Energy sector. These initiatives include advanced Gas infrastructure, LNG technology, effective Energy Storage systems, and green Energy solutions.

Roles available:

  • Energy Trading (Gas/Power) Front Office Experience
  • Commercial Operations experience
  • Ideally strong BA experience

There are three major releases: EU Gas, EU Power and then Global Emissions. The overall programme is broken down into squads of typically 8‑12 people, with a combination of Product Owners, BAs, Developers and Testers. Currently on Endur V24 and planning to go‑live on V25. The end‑to‑end delivery of all systems necessary to manage the systematic trading desk trade flow from deal entry to settlements will be your focus. This value stream will pave the way for rapid incremental roll‑out of further desks, proving the end‑to‑end Endur transaction backbone and downstream (risk & finance) workflows, processes and key interfaces. Significantly de‑risks the overall delivery by choosing a discreet trading desk with limited interactions with other desks that predominantly trade.

We are looking for an experienced energy trading business analyst who wants to expand their knowledge and be part of a strategic programme that will revolutionise the business. Whether you have worked with Endur or are looking to broaden your skill set, this is a great step for you and your career. You will be working on a greenfield, cloud‑hosted Endur implementation, playing a key role in delivery from design through build to implementation and beyond. You will bring your expertise to the team, working hand‑in‑hand with dedicated business SME’s to drive the requirements and design for Shell’s strategic ETRM solution. Through a combination of focused Endur training and working with existing specialists you’ll build your knowledge in this leading ETRM system. As a business analyst, you will work alongside a team of highly skilled professionals, who have pooled their collective decades of knowledge from multiple Endur implementations to rewrite best practice at the heart of what we do. The expansive reach of this programme will give individuals the opportunity to build depth of end‑to‑end trading life‑cycle experience and expand knowledge into new commodities.

What you will bring:

  • Track record of end‑to‑end project lifecycle delivery
  • Strong BA experience, including capturing business problems, value drivers and functional/non‑functional requirements
  • Experience running workshops and user acceptance testing
  • Demonstratable stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in Agile project delivery
  • Energy Trading Experience – Essential
  • Experience of energy trading markets, with a strong understanding of European Gas, including gas networks, balancing, scheduling, capacity, transportation, pricing, position, P&L and exposure management
  • A working knowledge of different trading instruments, including OTC transactions – forwards, storage, swing deals, swaps and simple options
  • Exchange‑traded futures & options lifecycle, including cascading

Optional skills:

  • CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI‑PBA certification preferred
  • Lean Practitioner training and experience is an asset
  • Agile certifications/trainings preferred

This role requires a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi‑cultural environment. It calls for a self‑starter, a logical thinker, a quick learner, and strong initiative with excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.

We believe in equality of opportunity for all job applicants regardless of gender, marital status, race, colour, nationality, ethnic origin, creed or religion, disability, sexual orientation or age.
