Exciting opportunity for a Training Lead to join this global Energy company. This role supports the transformation from a traditional Oil & Gas enterprise into a future-focused Energy leader, including the establishment of a new Power Trading desk within the Energy Trading team and adoption of advanced solutions across Gas infrastructure, LNG technology, Energy Storage, and Green Energy initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Apply a structured methodology to develop the overall Learning Approach and Plans for the programme, including integrated learning pathways for all impacted audience groups across Trading & Supply (Crude, Products, Commercial Operations, Finance, Risk).
- Collaborate with the vendor to design and develop training materials based on requirements, ensuring high-quality learning packages and bespoke materials for the custom tool.
- Assess additional training resources required to support the overall effort; provide daily management, direction and oversight of these resources (potential third parties or trainers).
- Work with Business Change Managers, Design Lead, Business Analysts, SMEs, and other stakeholders to translate business change impact assessments into learning needs and ensure changes to ways of working and new knowledge/capabilities are reflected in learning packages.
- Carry out a comprehensive training needs analysis to identify specific training for each audience to support user adoption in line with the target operating model.
- Oversee development of all learning materials and packages, including eLearning, classroom/virtual training, on-the-job training, demonstrations, scenarios, workshops, quick reference guides and other delivery modes; manage costings within budget.
- Develop, oversee and manage the training delivery schedule, coordinating invites, trainer allocation and availability, and the master schedule.
- Coordinate with IT and other stakeholders to ensure training and demo environments are prepared and available as required.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by ensuring participants have the right skills and knowledge to complete test scenarios.
- Provide quality control of all learning packages, ensuring consistency and high standards.
- Apply transformational change and change management methods with emphasis on driving training and capability activities.
- Demonstrate Training Management experience with proven management/oversight and delivery skills.
Qualifications
- Industry experience within Energy or Commodities Trading is highly beneficial.
- Strong knowledge across: Learning Strategies, Planning; Training Needs Analysis; Learning Design, Build & Execution; Competency & Knowledge Management; Train the Trainer; Scheduling and Logistics; Delivery; Learning Effectiveness Measurements.
- Undergraduate degree and/or certification in Training Development or related field (likely).
