Exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with Commodities Trading experience, to join this global Energy company. This is an exciting time to join this world-leading Energy company as it evolves from a traditional Oil & Gas enterprise into a future-focused Energy leader. This transformation includes the establishment of a highly successful new Power Trading desk within the Energy Trading team and ventures into cutting‑edge solutions that address the evolving demands of the Energy sector. These initiatives include advanced Gas infrastructure, LNG technology, effective Energy Storage systems and Green Energy solutions.
About The Role:
- Senior Project Manager, operating as the right-hand of the Portfolio Manager for a very large change programme looking at pre-trade analytics.
- Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all aspects of the project lifecycle.
- Rigorously manage scope through a structured change management process to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters with focus on delivering the business benefits.
- Create and validate financial forecasts and provide ongoing reconciliation of resources and expenditures.
- Proactively analyse risks and variances against plan to assess trends threatening agreed scope, time, cost, and quality commitments.
- Identify signs that a project may be at risk and elevate quickly and appropriately.
Requirements:
- Senior PM, likely to have over 10 years of experience.
- Experience working within the Commodities Trading sector is absolutely essential.
- Must have domain knowledge of Trading.
- Previous experience of Fundamentals data is highly advantageous.
- Not hesitant to look for transformation in ways of working but can introduce the concepts sensitively.
- Ability to positively engage a variety of stakeholders.
- Combining this with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment.
- You also need to be a self‑starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
