ContractLondon, WaterlooPosted 17 hours agoCompetitive USD / Year This is an exciting opportunity for an IT Project Manager to join a world-leading Energy Trading company as part of a new Endur ETRM programme.Role Overview: You will lead discovery activities to define project scope, business requirements, options, costs, timelines, risks, dependencies, governance requirements and delivery approaches. Initial focus areas include Endur Hosting, Endur To-Be Purging and North America Emissions Redesign – with additional initiatives expected to emerge throughout the pre-project phase. You will provide the structure, governance and clarity required to convert concepts into executable projects, ensuring all the project’s pre-requisites are defined, approved and delivered in line with programme timelines.Key Responsibilities:Lead discovery and shaping activities for project pre-project initiatives.Translate high-level business objectives and problem statements into clearly defined project scopes and deliverables.Establish business requirements, success measures, assumptions, risks, constraints and dependencies.Engage business and IT stakeholders to assess current-state processes, systems, data and operating models.Develop project charters, scope documents, delivery roadmaps and mobilisation plans.Produce business cases, investment requests and executive recommendations where required.Define resource requirements, delivery approaches and governance structures.Identify and manage cross-project dependencies to ensure alignment with the wider project programme roadmap.Plan, execute and control assigned projects in accordance with the company frameworkManage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, issues and reporting.Lead multi-disciplinary teams across business, technology and external partners.Provide regular updates and recommendations to programme leadership and governance forums.Essential Experience & Skills:Project Definition & MobilisationProven experience defining and shaping projects from early-stage concepts or problem statementsStrong discovery, assessment and mobilisation experienceAbility to rapidly establish project scope, requirements, business outcomes and delivery approachesExperience developing project charters, business cases and investment proposalsProgramme & Project Management:Strong project management experience using Agile and Waterfall methodologiesExperience establishing governance, reporting, assurance and control frameworksStrong planning, budgeting, forecasting and tracking capabilityExperience managing risks, issues, dependencies and change controlStakeholder Management:Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skillsExperience working with senior business and IT stakeholdersExcellent workshop facilitation, communication and presentation skillsAbility to work effectively in ambiguous and rapidly evolving environmentsDelivery & Technology:Experience delivering business and technology change initiativesAbility to work across business, process, data and technology domainsExperience coordinating multiple interdependent projects and workstreamsHighly Desirable Experience:Trading & Supply experienceKnowledge of Endur and commodity trading environmentsExperience with infrastructure, hosting and application modernisation initiativesExperience with data management, data retention or data purging programmesKnowledge of regulatory, sustainability or emissions reporting processesExperience working within large global organisations and matrix structuresMandatory Skills:Recognised Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, MSP or equivalent)Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologiesGovernance and assurance managementStakeholder managementRisk and issue managementScoping, planning and budgetingProject Management, Project Planning & Tracking, Project GovernanceWith a focus within Energy Trading, Oil & Gas, Financial Markets and Commodities, we offer a transparent Recruitment Service that has proven to be reliable and effective for over 40 years.
