ContractLondon, WaterlooPosted 16 hours agoCompetitive USD / Year Our latest opportunity is for an IT Project Manager specialising in Azure and Databricks to join a world-leading Energy Trading company.Role Overview:You will lead the definition, mobilisation and delivery of a strategic Global Supply & Demand transformation initiative within Trading & Supply.The role is accountable for shaping the future operating model, driving global process standardisation, developing business and investment cases, establishing governance and delivering business value through successful implementation. Working with senior business and IT stakeholders globally, the Project Manager will lead discovery activities, define scope and strategy, establish delivery roadmaps, and manage execution in accordance with the company frameworkKey Responsibilities:Lead discovery, strategy and mobilisation: activities for the Global Supply & Demand programmeAssess current processes, operating models, organisational structures, data and technology capabilitiesIdentify and drive opportunities for global process harmonisation and standardisationDefine programme objectives, scope, success measures, roadmap and delivery approachDevelop business cases, investment cases, benefits assessments and executive recommendationsEstablish and manage programme governance, reporting, assurance and decision-making forumsPlan, execute and control project delivery, managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks and dependenciesApply Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies as appropriateLead multi-disciplinary teams across business, technology and third-party suppliersBuild strong relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders globallyDrive organisational change, communications and stakeholder engagement activitiesEnsure delivery of agreed business outcomes within approved cost, schedule, quality and benefits targetsEssential Experience & Skills:Proven experience leading large-scale business transformation initiativesExperience defining and implementing global operating modelsExperience delivering enterprise process standardisation and harmonisation programmesStrong discovery, assessment, strategy and mobilisation experienceTrack record of developing business cases and investment proposalsExceptional senior stakeholder management, influencing and facilitation skillsStrong programme and project management capability, including governance, change control, risk management and reportingExperience managing geographically dispersed teams and external suppliersStrong financial management, planning, budgeting and tracking skillsExperience delivering technology-enabled business transformation programmesExcellent communication, presentation, leadership and resilience skillsHighly Desirable Experience:Trading & Supply experienceSupply & Demand, Trading, Commercial, Planning or Supply Chain domain knowledgeExperience working with enterprise data platforms such as Databricks, PDX and Azure-based solutionsExperience leading data-enabled business transformation programmesExperience establishing programme governance and organisational change management frameworksExperience operating in large global matrix organisationsMandatory Skills:Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, MSP or equivalentAgile and Waterfall delivery methodologiesProject governance and delivery assuranceVendor managementScoping, budgeting, planning and trackingRisk assessment and managementStakeholder managementFinancial managementPresentation and communication skillsUnderstanding of cloud, digital platforms, SaaS and data-driven solutionsPreferred Qualifications:Degree qualification or equivalent experience10+ years’ experience in IT, programme or project managementWith a focus within Energy Trading, Oil & Gas, Financial Markets and Commodities, we offer a transparent Recruitment Service that has proven to be reliable and effective for over 40 years.
