Exciting opportunity for a B2B Power Business Analyst: B2B EU Portfolio to join this global Energy company for a 12 month initial contract. 3 Days in London Office / Hybrid Working.
This is an exciting time to join this world-leading Energy company as it evolves from a traditional Oil & Gas enterprise into a future-focused Energy leader. This transformation includes the establishment of a highly successful new Power Trading desk within the Energy Trading team and ventures into cutting-edge solutions that address the evolving demands of the Energy sector. These initiatives include advanced Gas infrastructure, LNG technology, effective Energy Storage systems and Green Energy solutions.
IT Projects Business Analyst role involves identifying and documenting clients' and stakeholders' business needs and determining feasible solutions to meet those needs or resolve problems. This role offers the opportunity to grow into a thought partner and solution visionary, influencing technology demand and direction within the business community.
Experience- 5-7 years relevant IT experience within B2B EU Power domain.
- 5 years Power domain experience.
- Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum, PSPO, SAFe).
- CCBA or PMI-PBA certification.
- Requirements Management: Capture business problems, value drivers and functional/non‑functional requirements. Translate business needs into actionable functionality. Ensure traceability from business needs through testing and final solution delivery. Maintain and update documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Process & Data Analysis: Assess and model current processes, data flows and technologies using tools like Visio. Strong understanding of data tools and technologies such as Azure, Databricks, Power BI and Power Automate etc.
- Testing & Validation: Work closely with the test team prior to each release/Sprint rollout. Define acceptance criteria and coordinate testing to ensure solutions meet business needs.
This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
