Exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Lead to join this Global Energy company. This transformation includes the establishment of a highly successful new Power Trading desk within the Energy Trading team and ventures into cutting-edge solutions that address the evolving demands of the Energy sector. These initiatives include advanced Gas infrastructure, LNG technology, effective Energy Storage systems and Green Energy solutions.
Job Overview: We are seeking a seasoned QA Delivery Lead to oversee end-to-end testing deliverables across a portfolio of complex, high-impact programs. This leadership role is ideal for a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in automation, strong people management skills, and a proven ability to deliver top-quality solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Must have expertise in:
- Selenium with C#
- BDD frameworks (SpecFlow)
- API Automation
- Selenium Grid implementation
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Testing Delivery: Accountable for comprehensive testing strategies and execution across a diverse portfolio. Ensure all testing deliverables meet the highest quality standards and support successful program delivery.
- Lead and mentor a team of 10–12 QA professionals. Drive performance management, goal setting, appraisals, and individual development plans aligned with career aspirations.
- Automation Leadership: Spearhead automation strategy and execution, collaborating closely with Architects and Scrum teams to validate requirements, ensure testability, and drive automation coverage. Provide both functional and technical feedback on design and implementation.
- Use modern tools and processes to elevate QA practices in both manual and automation testing. Create and maintain best practice documentation. Build and maintain frameworks that support CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate emerging automation tools and techniques. Ensure ongoing improvements in test efficiency, coverage, and effectiveness.
- Work independently with frequent exposure to senior business and IT leadership. Align quality initiatives with business objectives and drive a clear roadmap in collaboration with Portfolio and IT managers.
- Ensure testing operations remain uninterrupted, mitigating risks and adapting to evolving business needs.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in quality assurance with a strong focus on test automation and team leadership.
- Deep experience with Agile testing methodologies and accelerators/tools.
- This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment.
- You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
