Corporate Social Responsibility Manager Supply Chain Focus: Human Rights, Environmental Sustainability & Animal Welfare
Our client is serious about building a robust, ethical and responsible supply chain and is committed to investing in the systems and relationships needed to achieve this. They are looking to recruit a senior CSR professional. This role will head up supply-chain CSR, with clear ownership of strategy, systems, and supplier engagement across human rights, environmental sustainability, and animal welfare. The business is looking for someone who can move beyond policy and reporting to drive practical, measurable change working in partnership with suppliers rather than policing from a distance.
The role
As CSR Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving supply-chain initiatives from design through to implementation. This is not a box-ticking role; success will come from your ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers and support them in meeting clear, credible standards. You’ll also play a key role in developing systems, overseeing audits, and embedding responsible sourcing into day-to-day business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing CSR systems and processes across the supply chain.
- Leading initiatives across human rights due diligence, environmental performance, and animal welfare.
- Building and maintaining influential, trust-based relationships with suppliers.
- Planning and managing regular audits, prioritising high-risk suppliers.
- Working closely with procurement, operations, and quality teams to embed CSR into sourcing decisions.
- Monitoring performance, identifying risks, and driving continuous improvement.
- Periodic international travel to supplier sites to support audits and engagement.
About You
We’re looking to speak with candidates who bring:
- Experience in CSR, sustainability, ethical trade, or responsible sourcing, ideally within a complex supply chain.
- A solid understanding of human rights standards, environmental sustainability, and animal welfare requirements.
- The ability to build systems and the confidence to influence external partners.
- Audit experience and comfort handling sensitive supplier conversations.
If you’re a CSR professional who wants to focus on impact, credibility, and long-term improvement, this could be your next opportunity. Remuneration is circa £60 k–£70 k along with company benefits.
