Eagle (G.E.T.) Fabrications Limited are a family-run company based in Bulwell, Nottinghamshire. Since forming in October 2010, we have grown considerably in the marketplace, becoming one of the leading manufacturers of bespoke steel fabrications for the quarrying, mining, recycling, and waste management sectors.
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Welder/Fabricator or Plant fitter to join our growing team of Site Engineers to assist with planned, reactive, and emergency maintenance on various clients' premises across the UK.
Responsibilities:
- This mobile role requires you to work away Monday - Friday every week, on-site at various clients' premises.
- Your role will involve planned, reactive maintenance and emergency running repairs to fixed and mobile plant across various Recycling, Material Processing and Quarrying Plants.
- As a Team Leader, you will work alongside other Welders/Fabricators and Engineers, carrying out Installation, Maintenance, General Welding and Fabrication tasks on a variety of fixed plant machinery and equipment.
- You will be expected to run the work on-site, finding the best solutions to problems, and leading your team efficiently and effectively.
- Daily tasks will include creating reports, utilising a custom app and a provided tablet/4G dongle, and carrying out on-site Risk Assessment and Method Statements when required.
The Successful Candidate:
- Must be able to work away 5 days a week.
- Experienced MIG and Stick Welder, with a welding background essential (4-5 years' experience desirable).
- GAS cutting/burning required.
- Fabrication or Steelworker background essential (2-3 years' experience desirable).
- Forward thinking individual with the ability to take on responsibilities and solve problems.
- A mature attitude to work ethics and values that align with those of the company.
- Experience and knowledge of working with hand tools.
- Good health, physically fit, and able to carry heavy loads.
- Good communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
- Good understanding of health and safety.
- Able to work flexibly and meet deadlines.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
