£16.50 - £19 per hour, dependent on experience

Eagle (G.E.T.) Fabrications Ltd is a family-run steel fabrication business based in Bulwell, Nottinghamshire, just minutes from Junction 26 of the M1. Established in 2010, we have grown steadily into a trusted UK supplier of bespoke steel fabrications for sectors including quarrying, mining, recycling, and waste management.

We are known for delivering complex, one-off fabrications to a consistently high standard. With no two jobs ever the same, our workshop offers varied, challenging, and rewarding work for skilled fabricators who take pride in what they do.

Due to continued growth and an exceptionally strong order book, we are now looking to strengthen our workshop team with an experienced Fabricator / Plater to support current and upcoming workloads.

The Role

This is a full-time, workshop-based role suited to a confident and experienced fabricator/plater with a background in medium to heavy structural and bespoke steelwork. The position has been created to support a very busy order book and sustained demand across multiple projects.

You will work as part of a close-knit workshop team, fabricating directly from engineering drawings and contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality, one-off fabrications for our customers.

Extremely competitive rates of pay are available, dependent on experience. Overtime is regularly available, including weekends, along with opportunities for training, development, and long-term progression within the business.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Strong fabrication background essential – 4+ years' experience in structural and/or bespoke steelwork
  • Proven experience working with both mild steel and stainless steel
  • Skilled in marking out, cutting, drilling, profiling, and assembling complex parts
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
  • Capable of building one-off items from scratch with minimal supervision
  • Oxy/Propane cutting/burning experience
  • MIG welding skills are beneficial, but not the focus of the role
  • Confident using a wide range of hand tools and workshop equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamworking skills
  • Flexible and proactive attitude to meeting deadlines and adapting to workload
  • Good knowledge of health & safety practices in a fabrication workshop
