An Animal Feed & Bedding Wholesaler based in Brentwood, Essex is looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative /Loader. Fork lift experience is essential.
Responsibilities will include:
- Loading palletised goods onto own vehicles for delivery the following day.
- Identifying a vast variety of product to the loading list to ensure accuracy at all times.
- Yard housekeeping - ensuring all areas are free from waste and debris.
- Shunting trailers around the yard.
- Understanding safe working processes around moving vehicles in a busy yard area.
- Unloading goods.
- Flexibility to work within the warehouse when required which includes picking orders - predominantly 20kg bags of animal feed or bedding, wrapping and labelling pallets.
- Accuracy is essential and the ability to lift heavy bags most of the shift.
- Labelling inbound pallets and stowing in the racking.
- Any ad hoc duties.
The right candidate must be able to multitask ensuring all required tasks are completed by the end of the day. Shift times may vary and will be notified by the Manager. Flexibility is a must – overtime will be required on a daily basis. Must have a valid forklift training certificate which will need to be provided. Must have own transport due to location.
Monday - Friday Basic between £14.00 per hour, depending on experience (will increase following a successful probation). Overtime rate after 40 hours.
