We are currently looking for an Engineer to join our talented team to work on complex and interesting projects with us. What you’ll do You will be working alongside other engineers and designers as an integral part of the team at our Sheffield-based office, solving a wide variety of engineering problems. Typical tasks could include: * Developing concepts into detailed designs; * Using engineering fundamentals to check that designs work; * Carrying out detailed finite element analysis to optimise designs; * Producing 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using Solidworks to enable the design to be made. Our projects come in a variety of shapes and sizes, giving our team the opportunity to rapidly gain broad experience and skills. What you’ll need An ideal candidate would: * Have enthusiasm for solving engineering problems, and the drive to learn and take ownership of your own development; * Solid technical grasp of the fundamentals of engineering; * Previous experience in a similar role – please note that this is not a position for Graduates coming directly from university. Eadon has a separate process for employing Graduates, more details can be found on our website. * Have an engineering degree or equivalent qualification; * Be able to apply the first-principles engineering that you have learned in your degree to new problems; * Have the ability to work and communicate effectively with other people; * The ability to self-organise and prioritise your workload; * Experience of using 3D CAD software.
