EACH is a growing charity providing a range of specialist services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence, mental health and alcohol and substance misuse issues. Our success and services are driven and delivered by a diverse staff and volunteer team, who are as passionate and committed as we are to meeting the needs of our local communities.

As the Resettlement Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering and supporting women who have experienced violence against women and girls (VAWG), many of whom face additional vulnerabilities due to intersecting disadvantages. You will provide comprehensive and holistic support to women residing in the Moving Forward project’s temporary accommodation, assisting them in their transition to stable and secure long‑term housing.

Responsibilities

  • Building trusting relationships with women and understanding their individual needs and goals.
  • Providing ongoing advocacy and support with housing applications, tenancy management, and accessing essential services.
  • Connecting women with appropriate community resources and fostering social integration.
  • Empowering women to develop independent living skills and build resilience.
  • Collaborating with project staff and external partners to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to resettlement.

Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to social justice and gender equality.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, ideally women who have experienced VAWG.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills and ability to work collaboratively with counsellors and colleagues across the service and organisation.
  • Cultural competency and the ability to build rapport with women from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to support peers to develop project activities and undertake outreach.
  • Ability to speak a relevant community language (e.g. Pashto, Farsi, Gujarati, Arabic, Tamil) is desirable.
