EAC are representing a manufacturer based just outside of Northampton, they are looking for an Assembly Operative to join their busy workshop team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a mechanical background who is confident using hand and power tools.
As an Assembly Operative you will be responsible for assembling, testing and preparing products for despatch, ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.
On Offer
- Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
- Good attitude & work ethic
- Physically fit so able to heavy lift
- Forklift License (Desirable)
- Must have a clean full UK driving license
Key responsibilities include
- Mechanical assembly of products and associated equipment
- Pipe fitting, drilling, sawing and general workshop/tool work
- Pressure testing products and carrying out quality checks
- Packing finished goods ready for despatch
- Loading and unloading vehicles using a counterbalance forklift, where licensed
- Occasional local deliveries and collections using company vehicles
- Carrying out goods-in checks and ensuring deliveries are correctly documented
- Checking, signing and dating delivery notes
- Ensuring outgoing shipments have the correct paperwork attached
- Moving stock into the appropriate storage locations
- Occasional visits to customer sites for servicing or support
- Working closely with other teams to ensure orders and deliveries are completed efficiently
Ideal Workshop Fitter
The ideal candidate will have a mechanical fitting background and be comfortable working in a busy workshop environment.
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Mechanical assembly experience
- A full UK driving license
- Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
