Are you an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal looking to join a busy and supportive residential property team?
Our client is seeking a proactive and organised Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to provide legal and administrative support across a varied caseload of residential property transactions. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your conveyancing career within a well-established and growing legal practice.
The Role
Working closely with Fee Earners and Solicitors, you will play a key role in supporting residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion and post-completion.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing legal and administrative support to the conveyancing team
- Opening and closing files and carrying out client ID checks
- Submitting searches, Land Registry applications and mortgage redemptions
- Assisting with residential property transactions and managing related documentation
- Checking mortgage offers and search results
- Liaising confidently with clients, estate agents, lenders, solicitors and other third parties
- Keeping clients updated throughout the conveyancing process
- Preparing invoices, financial statements and arranging bank transfers
- Assisting with completions and post-completion matters, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
- Maintaining accurate records using case management systems
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and professional standards
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A minimum of 6 months' experience in a Conveyancing Paralegal or similar property-based legal role
- A strong understanding of the conveyancing process
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to strict deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook
- Experience using case management systems
- A professional and confident approach when dealing with clients and third parties
Desirable
- Experience working within a residential conveyancing practice
- A Law Degree, LPC, CILEX, CLC qualification or equivalent legal qualification
