Regional Business Development Manager – Europe

Due to significant growth and expansion, we have a vacancy for a Regional Business Developer to join our fantastic VisNet Monitoring & Modelling team so, if you’re experienced in Business Development in the energy, smart grid or IoT sector, we’d love to hear from you!
About the role:
This is a newly created role which is UK based with significant travel that will be central to expanding our presence across target geographies (DACH, Southern Europe, Nordics).
You’ll be responsible for developing and converting the VisNet pipeline, managing the full sales cycle and acting as the front-facing representative of EA Technology with DSOs, partners and stakeholders. This is a high-impact position within our FY26 go-to-market activation plan, designed to build traction in priority EU markets and drive long-term growth.
- Develop and convert the VisNet pipeline across EU target geographies (DACH, SOE, Nordics)
- Acquire, manage and grow new accounts
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, proposals, negotiation, contracting, delivery, upsell and support
- Act as the primary representative for EA with DSOs and local stakeholders
- Travel to customer sites and industry events to build strong relationships
- Support strategic partner interactions (VARs, OEMs, SIs) where required
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product and Partner Managers to localise go-to-market strategies and share field insights
What we’ll need from you:
- Proven software sales or sales-related experience in complex, technical, solution-oriented B2B markets
- Experience creating new markets and positioning disruptive technologies with traditional buyers
- Good technical knowledge of smart grids, IoT or network data management concepts
- Strong background in DSO-facing sales and account management
- Ability to develop opportunities and convert pipelines into results
- Excellent presentation, public speaking and relationship-building skills
- Deep understanding of European DSO procurement and decision-making cycles
- Familiarity with LV/MV grid technology, smart grid, monitoring or modelling solutions
- Knowledge of indirect GTM channels (OEM/SI/VAR) is highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree (engineering or commercial field preferred); Master’s a plus
- Multilingual skills (English + 1–2 European languages such as German, Italian, Spanish)
- Strong commercial judgment and negotiation skills
- Flexibility to travel frequently across Europe
