Role on-site requirement: This role requires you to be on-site in Capenhurst near Chester (CH1 6ES) 5 days per week. Please apply ONLY if you live within a reasonable commuting distance.
About the role
- Responsible for the efficient running of the “front of house” for the oil diagnostics laboratory.
- Organisation of the “front of house” work and liaising with the laboratory staff.
- Ensure fast and accurate oil sample registration and client receipt processing meeting associated KPIs.
- Inform the analysts of priority and urgent samples as soon as they are notified or received in the laboratory.
- Liaising and informing clients of issues with sample bottles, labels and shipments.
- Accurate data entry such as sample information, client oil sample history, shipment information etc.
- Arranging sample collections and dispatch logistics with online courier system and clients.
- Sample bottle processing, bottle cleaning, packing of sample crates and stock control.
- Control stock levels, arrange purchase requisitions and liaise with suppliers as required to maintain Supplier Register.
- Managing incoming laboratory calls, liaising with clients and directing enquiries to the relevant personnel.
What we’ll need from you
- Practical experience in a similar role is preferable but strong administrative skills are key
- Excellent working understanding of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Access
- An understanding of Health & Safety regulations, COSHH requirements, ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 operational practices would be a distinct advantage
- Highly self-motivated with an aptitude to learn
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of manual handling processes
- Ability to follow detailed operating procedures and manage delivery of tasks
- Understanding of oil filled high voltage electrical assets is preferable
- Practical understanding of analytical equipment would be advantageous
- Minimum GCSE in Maths and English is required
