This role requires you to be on-site in Capenhurst near Chester (CH1 6ES). Please apply ONLY if you live within a reasonable commuting distance.
As part of our production team you will complete production testing, calibration and repair of our wide range of instruments. You will have the opportunity to be involved in refining production processes and help bring our growing range of leading edge products to the market.
Your activities will require:
- Soldering electrical and electronic components to a high standard
- Operating standard electrical and electronic test equipment
- Use of In-Circuit debug and programming software
- Fault finding and repair at PCB component level
- Assembly of test rigs and custom fixtures to aid production
- Understanding and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications and work instructions
- Using hand tools safely and effectively
- Potential to travel to UK suppliers to offer technical support
What we’ll need from you:
- Educated to HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a recognised engineering apprenticeship and appropriate work experience
- Experience of working in an electronics production environment
- Experience of new parts introduction processes
- Experience of continuous improvement and lean processes is advantageous
- Current knowledge of safe engineering practices
- Be able to support others and have a flexible teamwork approach to work
