Due to significant growth and expansion, we have a vacancy for an Engineering Training Consultant to teach Level 4 modules. This role requires you to be on site approx. 3 days per week at Capenhurst (CH1 6ES) as well as travelling to other locations.
About the role:- Deliver HNC Level 4 modules in Electrical or Power Engineering
- Prepare, assess and verify assignments in line with awarding body standards
- Provide academic and technical support to learners both in the classroom and online
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate assessment records
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
- Liaise with internal and external quality assurance personnel
- A Level 5 qualification or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or a closely related discipline (e.g. HND, Foundation Degree, BEng)
- A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one (e.g. AET, DET, PGCE or equivalent)
- Strong subject knowledge in electrical/power engineering at Level 4 or above is essential
- Knowledge of Level 4 curriculum frameworks, particularly BTEC Higher Nationals or equivalent awarding body standards
- Familiarity with Ofqual-regulated qualifications and assessment regulations
- Understanding of teaching, learning and assessment strategies appropriate for adult learners and technical apprentices
- Knowledge of health, safety and compliance requirements relevant to electrical engineering training
- Ability to deliver engaging, structured classroom and/or blended learning sessions
- Skilled in assessing written and practical work against academic and vocational standards
- Proficient in using digital learning platforms and tools (e.g., Moodle, Teams, Smartboards)
- Competence in creating and adapting learning materials to suit course specifications and learner needs
- Comfortable working with awarding body requirements and internal/external quality assurance procedures
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes including internal verification and external moderation
- Up to £65,000 + annual bonus based on business & individual performance
