About the Role
The purpose of the Design Sales Surveyor role is to survey and prepare accurate and detailed quotations for security, life safety, and fire alarm systems within the Social Housing sector. This is a key role within the business, supporting clients from initial survey through to proposal submission and order placement, while ensuring compliance and best practice is maintained throughout. The role will cover Surrey / London / M25 corridor.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Attend site visits, site surveys, and project meetings to identify and determine client requirements
- Undertake technical surveys to obtain information required to provide fully compliant quotations for Fire and/or Security System works
- Identify clear and concise scopes of work and recommend the best solution in line with compliance and best practice
- Issue proposals to clients in line with their requirements and effectively chase for orders
- Manage the sales pipeline through the Simpro CRM database
- Liaise internally with key stakeholders and ensure information provided to administrators is clear, accurate, and legible
- Maintain up-to-date client information, identifying issues, hotspots, touchpoints, and areas requiring special attention
- Identify additional opportunities with clients that fall outside existing account parameters and pass these to the wider sales team
What We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of Security Systems (CCTV, Intruder, Access Control) and relevant compliance standards
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Ability to manage pipeline activity and support accurate forecasting
- Detail-focused and IT literate (CRM experience beneficial)
- DHF/ADSA qualifications advantageous (training provided)
- Full UK Driving Licence required
